Liturgy of the Word for Children

During the 9:00am Mass in the months of September thru May, children ages  3 - 5  can participate in a Liturgy of the Word specifically designed for their understanding level. The children are dismissed from Mass by the priest and gather in Bishops Hall. The children are returned to Mass after the Homily and rejoin their family for the remainder of Mass. Registration is required.

Parish School of Religion (P.S.R.) Sunday School

The P.S.R. Sunday School program provides catechesis and sacramental preparation for all youth in grades Kindergarten through High School who are not enrolled in a Catholic School.

The program for Kindergarten through 8th grade meets on Sunday mornings from 10:05 until 10:50 in the parish school classrooms.  The catechists are dedicated, excellent teachers who are committed to imparting a comprehensive understanding of the Catholic Faith and a heart configured to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The catechists are:

Kindergarten/1st Grade - Mrs. Katie Lewis and Mrs. Rebecca McMahon

2nd Grade - Mrs. Maggie Bridges and Mrs. Emily Scott

3rd/4th Grades - Mrs. Lori Guthridge

5th/6th Grades - Mrs. Katie Coffey and Mrs. Melissa Gerlach

7th/8th Grades - Mr. Jim Gillenwater and Mrs. Karen Gillenwater

The program for High School youth meets on the second and fourth Sundays of the month from 7:00 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. at the parish rectory.  Catechists with specific expertise in the area come in to present topics to the youth and facilitate discussion with the group.  Steven and Rebecca McMahon host this program.
