Praised be Jesus Christ!

This parish never ceases to amaze me with the active involvement of so many parishioners in the events and formation opportunities that we offer here. Last Sunday and Monday we held our annual parish mission featuring Dr. Edward Sri and it was a huge success! We had 400 come to the parish dinner and 500 attend the mission talk on Sunday evening! Dr. Sri was thoroughly impressed with our parish and in particular by our parish book program and book study groups. The fact that there are so many individuals who have a genuine desire to grow in their faith is such an inspiration and a constant source of joy for me. So to all of those who came out to the mission I would like to say THANK YOU! Also, to all the many people who spent countless hours working to coordinate, plan and host this event THANK YOU! As you can imagine, it takes a lot of work to put on an event like this, but “many hands make light work” and with the help of so many stewards, everything came together beautifully.

For those of you who were unable to attend, I have good news for you! The talks were recorded and uploaded to our parish podcasts on the website and on our iTunes account, so you can still listen to the talks if you missed them or hear them again whenever you like. (Click here)

Some other exciting news is that over the weekend Fr. Jirak enrolled the parish in a subscription to a new Catholic website “” which they describe as the “Catholic Netflix.” This website contains literally thousands of hours of extremely high quality videos which cover just about every faith topic that you can imagine.  This website features famous Catholic speakers like Dr. Scott Hahn, Dr. Ed Sri, Bishop Robert Barron and many others. There are also many digital books and articles which address specific topics like Scripture study, apologetics, the sacraments, Mary and the saints. The best part is that access to this website is now available to every Blessed Sacrament Parishioner! All you have to do is register at (click here) and enter the Blessed Sacrament subscription code: 3MKD43.

I have already heard back from many people who have begun using this website and they are very happy with the content that they have found. This is an incredible tool for faith formation let’s take advantage of it!

In Christ through Mary,

Father Curtis
