Christ is Risen!  Indeed, He is Risen.  This ancient Easter greeting is a declaration that the Lord is present among us, hic et nunc, here and now.  His Resurrected life is not merely a historic event but a present reality.  It is a reality to be encountered and touched through faith and which leads us from vice to virtue, sin to grace, earth to heaven.  I can’t think of a better time than this Easter Season during the Jubilee Year of Mercy to announce our Parish Priority Plan.

The creation of the Parish Priority Plan has been in the works for nearly two years.  It is the fruit of continuous prayer, broad engagement of the parish family through the parish survey and open forums, a dedicated planning team, and the application of the best leadership resources.

Continuing in the prayerful spirit and generous stewardship in which we embraced Our Challenge, the Parish Priority Plan will embark on serving each parishioner to “encounter Christ anew so as to emerge more joyfully as disciples to continue His mission of redemption.”

Our vision statement is “Come, Follow Me . . .”  And, our Parish Priority Plan is composed of these three priorities as voiced by Blessed Sacrament Parishioners:

  • Cultivating Our Interior Life
  • Living the New Evangelization
  • Enhancing Our Sunday Mass Experience

As Pope Francis has written in regards to the humility of Jesus, “He always invites, he does not impose.”  In this spirit I would like to invite you to attend a special presentation on the Parish Priority Plan.  The presentation will include prayer; an introduction to our plan, priorities, and goals; as well as guided discussion about the plan and how to make it your own.  We will be offering two opportunities to attend the special presentation:

  • Tuesday, May 3rd from 6:30-8:30 PM
  • Saturday, May 7th from 9:30-11:30 AM

You can sign up for a presentation online, by clicking here or by calling the parish office at 316.682.4557 or by e-mailing This email address is being protected from spambots. Ad majorem Dei gloriam,
