Greetings,

I want to share with you some important news regarding our parish family. At the end of May, Brandon Martin, our Business Manager, informed me that he has decided to move on to pursue a different career path. Brandon has faithfully served Blessed Sacrament parish for eight years. During my six years as pastor, I have seen Brandon bring a true gift of stability to the administration of the parish. This stability has allowed the parish a great freedom to explore and grow in the Catholic Church’s call to the New Evangelization. Brandon has been a faithful servant and is a man of integrity. We wish him well and pray him all the best.

The current strategic parish initiatives (including the new Parish Priority Plan), more emphasis on the New Evangelization, explosive growth in our parish school (an average of over 100 new registered families in the parish per year over the past three years), along with Brandon’s departure have brought some new challenges to the parish office personnel. These initiatives and changes have all converged in such a way as to prompt the parish office staff to review its purpose, processes and mission, so as to better serve the current needs and growth of the parish.

Over the past several weeks I have been working with our staff, the chairs of the Pastoral Council and Finance Council and several parish leaders to envision a reorganization of the parish staff to better reflect the current needs and vision of Blessed Sacrament Parish.  Accordingly, in the weeks ahead, the parish office will undergo some changes. I plan to update the parish as these changes are put into place.

Let us pray for one another during this time of transition.

Ad majorem Dei gloriam,

Rev. John F. Jira
