News from our Parish Life Coordinator
For our Parish Priority Plan to bear fruit, we need to be reminded that the plan will require the commitment, energy, and partnership of ALL parishioners. We must believe that our parish will grow stronger through the relationships we build with God and each other in fulfilling our Vision of “Creating Disciples and Living the Stewardship Way of Life”.
Please continue to pray for God’s blessing on this plan as we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us. I am pleased to off er opportunities to assist you in living out our Parish Priority Plan and Living the New Evangelization, Cultivating your Spiritual Life and Enhancing your Sunday Mass Experience.
Forming Intentional Disciples Book has become one of the most talked about books of the decade in Catholic parishes across the country. ! is book connects seamlessly with Pope Francis’ call for evangelization and our Parish Priority Plan. Study group sessions are being formed to discuss the book, provide you with tools and resources to “break the silence”, initiate conversations, share your story of faith and begin walking the path of discipleship together. Prayerfully consider joining a 6-week study group on Wednesdays at 7:00 AM or 6:00 PM in the Bishop Gerber Room, beginning June 7th.
Opening the Word is returning! Imagine coming to Mass each Sunday aware of the readings and how they apply to your daily life! We can greatly enhance our Sunday Mass Experience if we are spiritually prepared each week. It happens when we read Sunday’s readings ahead of time, and make this part of our personal prayer. Opening the Word is a program that offers prayers and insights into the Sunday readings through videos, personal prayer journals and small group discussions. ! e weekly video is designed to facilitate thought and discussion for personal faith formation. Prayerfully consider joining Opening the Word programs on Sundays at 8:00 AM or 10:00 AM in the Bishop Gerber Room, led by Deacon Schibi beginning June 11th.
