Mentoring Couples is a program designed to prepare couples adequately for the sacrament of marriage. Mentor couples assist the priest in forming engaged couples in God’s plan for marriage according to the teachings of the Catholic Church. The program designed by Christopher West is based on John Paul II’s theology of the body and includes requisite training for those who intend to serve as mentor couples. This ministry is a great opportunity for husbands and wives to work together in their exercise of stewardship. Normally, a mentor couple meets with the engaged couple five times at the house of the mentor couple.
Requisites for this ministry include being active in your Catholic faith and being happily married.
