As we prepare for the Jubilee Year, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church invites you to embark on a year-long journey of prayer, formation, and discipleship. Each month, we will gather on the second Thursday at 6:30 pm in Bishops Hall to explore a different aspect of our Catholic faith through engaging presentations, opportunities for prayer, and practical ways to grow closer to Christ.

Throughout the year, monthly Hallow challenges will provide additional opportunities to continue your spiritual growth at home and in your daily life. Together, we will deepen our relationship with the Lord, strengthen our families, rediscover the beauty of the Church's teachings, and prepare our hearts to become joyful witnesses of the Gospel.

Whether you have been practicing your faith for years or are looking to grow deeper in your relationship with God, we invite you to join us on this journey as we prepare together for the Jubilee Year.

August 2026 - Mary, First Disciple

Thursday, August 13, at 6:30 pm in Bishops Hall

This month, as we celebrate the Stewardship Social on Sunday, August 23, we want to look at Mary as the First Disciple for inspiration. Her Fiat changed the world and is a beautiful example of how God uses our yes as well.

September 2026 - The Home, The Spiritual Center of Your Family

Thursday, September 10, at 6:30 pm in Bishops Hall

What is the center of your home? When you are at home, what do you spend your time looking at? Where are your eyes focused? How many screens are in your home? This month, we will look internally at the ongoing struggle between attention and distraction, between screens and being present to each other. Reflecting on the question, is your home the spiritual center of your family?

HALLOW CHALLENGE! Family Rule of Life starts September 10, 2026!

October 2026 - The Last Judgment

Thursday, October 8, at 6:30 pm in Bishops Hall

The divide in the culture is clearly seen in October, as our neighborhood prepares for the secular celebration of Halloween and the Church prepares for the upcoming celebrations of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days. This divide is also seen in the depiction of The Last Judgment, a clear reminder that we must keep our eyes focused on God and the eternal reality.

HALLOW CHALLENGE! Spiritual Warfare starts October 8, 2026!

November 2026 - The Corporal Works of Mercy

Thursday, November 12, at 6:30 pm in Bishop Hall

November invites us to reflect on the many blessings God has given us and to respond with hearts of gratitude. As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are reminded that true thanksgiving calls us to action through the Corporal Works of Mercy—feeding the hungry, clothing the needy, caring for the sick, welcoming the stranger, and serving those in need. These works of mercy are not simply optional acts of kindness; they are a directive from Christ Himself, who calls us to love and serve others as we would serve Him.

HALLOW CHALLENGE! Advent Pray25 starts November 29, 2026!

December 2026 - Silent Night, a quiet evening of Adoration

Thursday, December 10, at 6:30 in the Church & Sunday, December 13, at 6:30 pm in the Church

This is the busiest time of the year! Advent, however, is a time of preparation. A time to prepare our hearts and our home to receive Christ at Christmas. This month, we invite everyone to step out of the busyness and into the silence and peace that come only from Christ. Join us in an evening of prayer and reflection in the Church.

January 2027 - Epiphany Blessings and more!

Thursday, January 14, at 6:30 pm in Bishops Hall

Why do Catholics bless water on Epiphany? Why bless salt, medals, and holy items? Why do parents bless their children? While these wonderful traditions are handed down, we don’t always know the teachings behind these practices. This month, we will look at the teachings around blessings.

HALLOW CHALLENGE! Holy Family Novena starts January 14, 2026!

February 2027 - Repent and Believe in the Gospel

Repentance often brings us to the Sacrament of mercy, forgiveness, and God’s abundant grace. Join us for Confession 101 as we explore what this sometimes-intimidating Sacrament is. It’s more than just telling the priest all your sins. It is an encounter with Christ and an outpouring of grace.

March 2027 - St. Joseph the Worker: The Dignity of Work

Thursday, March 11, at 6:30 pm in Bishops Hall

St. Joseph the Worker is a model of faithfulness, humility, and the dignity of human labor. Through his work as a carpenter, St. Joseph reminds us that work is not merely a task or a means of providing for ourselves, but a way we participate in God’s creative work and serve others. The Catholic Church teaches that every person has a right to work and that work should respect the dignity of the human person. Work allows us to use our gifts, support our families, and contribute to the common good.

April 2027 - The Gift of the Eucharist

Thursday, April 8, at 6:30 pm in Bishops Hall

As our Second graders celebrate their First Communion, it is a great opportunity for us all to reflect on the gift of the Eucharist. Turning to St. Thomas’ work to better understand what we are receiving at Mass when we partake in Communion.

May - The Same Spirit is Moving

Thursday, May 13, at 6:30 pm in Bishops Hall

As we prepare for Pentecost, we are reminded that the same Holy Spirit who descended upon the apostles continues to move and work in the Church today. How do we recognize the presence and guidance of the Spirit in our daily lives? How do we learn to listen with open hearts and discern the movements of the Spirit? Through our Baptism and Confirmation, we have received the Gifts of the Holy Spirit—wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. How are we called to use these gifts to grow in holiness, serve others, and participate in the mission of the Church?

HALLOW CHALLENGE! The Spiritual Exercises with Fr. Timothy Gallagher starts May 13, 2027!

June 2027 - Witnessing Hope to Our Community

As we enter the final month of preparation, we will reach out to our community by offering Church Tours to welcome others into the beauty and richness of our faith and church building. This is a chance to live our call to evangelize—to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and invite others to encounter Him through the life of the Church.
