You may have noticed the St. Vincent de Paul Thanksgiving collection envelope in this month’s packet of Parish collection envelopes. For many years, the Blessed Sacrament Pastor has allowed the annual Thanksgiving collection to be taken up and donated to our Blessed Sacrament Society of St. Vincent de Paul. This is the primary way SVdP obtains funds that allow us to help those in need. Thanks to all our countless supporters, who allow us to help hundreds of needy people every year!
Please stop by the St. Vincent de Paul table during this weekend’s Stewardship Fair. We would like to thank our many supporters, and are always happy to answer any questions about our work or current needs. Please keep in mind the coat and blanket drive that ends November 11th. We were contacted this week about three children that were rejoined with a family after being in foster care and they needed blankets. We were able to pull some nice blankets from what had been donated to give to the children!
The food of the month for the Weekend Kids Food Program is canned soup. Food can be placed in the Parish Office drop box, and will go to Blessed Sacrament students who can use a little extra food on the weekends.
