We are all encouraged to pray for an increase in vocations. Parishioners lead the rosary for this special intention every Saturday 30 minutes before 5:15pm Mass and every Sunday 30 minutes before all Masses. Volunteers are needed to lead the rosary on a rotating basis.
Other vocation efforts include our "Spiritual Toolbox" cards, located in all three of our church entrances. Pick one up today and mark off when you complete any of the following items specifically for the intention of vocations:
Prayer, religious study and reading, generosity activity (time, talent or treasure), evangelization activity, rosary, adoration hour, Mass intention, or any other self-chosen act of charity.
A “Vocations Traveling Statue” is available to all parishioners to have in their homes for a week at a time. The statue can be used to provide a center point and reminder for the family to pray together for Vocations. The statue is scheduled so that a family can pick it up from the Immaculate Mary alcove on the east side of the church after the 11am Sunday mass and returned to the same location on the following Sunday before the 11am mass. If you would like to have the statue in your home please call or email to be scheduled for your week.
If you have any questions about vocations or are discerning your own vocation, we encourage you to visit the Diocese of Wichita's website, and in particular, their Office of Vocation page.
