Hello Barons!

I know this has been a bit of a trying week with the water disruption and trying to get all of our
documents secured for the school year. Thank you, Heidi, for all that you do for our school. We are
about to finish up September and we have had time to settle in. September is a big month for
us here as we have many reports due to the state. Our state-wide attendance day is upon us next
week and we are past the half way mark of the quarter, which means parent teacher conferences
are about here.

With that said, research shows that family engagement in education has a positive
effect on students’ academic success. When teachers and families work together to foster effective
two-way communication the results can be powerful. It is without question that these factors
are the center for the success that Blessed Sacrament has enjoyed. I want to thank the parents that
have taken care of fees, paperwork and general request in a timely manner. I would like to
encourage everyone to follow our calendars to try and stay ahead of deadlines. We are such a
successful school and Parish. For us to continue this success, we will need your continued help.

We are still experiencing some challenges with pick up and drop off procedures. We need everyone
to review the procedures that were sent out at the beginning of the school year and follow them.
We have had a couple of very close calls. One accident will be too many!

For classroom success make sure you are checking agendas and staying on top of teacher requests
and class due dates. Reminder that stewardship hours need to be completed and signed off by
parents.

Again, I am in total amazement that September is gone after this next week and then so will be
the first quarter of school. I have enjoyed getting out to the volleyball games these past two
weekends and can’t wait to experience some more activities outside of the school with the
students.
