Hello Barons!
So, I am sure most think I jinxed myself by continually commenting on the great start we have had. Even with the plumbing issues I stand by my statement. I am still feeling very grateful for our students and staff for such a wonderful start to the school year despite the many stressors, beyond plumbing, we are working through. The very beginning of anything is always a challenge but school seems to be one of the most difficult. Lots of paperwork, due dates, changes from the previous year, new supplies, gear, clothes the list goes on and on. Add in extreme heat and warm classrooms and you have a recipe for an angry building; however, we have had just the opposite. This is a testament to our faith and the truly wonderful community we have here at Blessed Sacrament.
Speaking of new procedures our pick up and drop off procedures continue to improve. Please be mindful and patient as you are either dropping off or picking up. We do a great job of getting 400 plus students in and out of this building in 20 minutes but it only happens when everyone follows the procedures. As many of you know I work the crosswalk at Douglas in the mornings. Please be mindful of not coming in the exit. There is no entrance off of Douglas to our parking lot. That drive way is an exit from the lot. Please enter Douglas parking lot off of Circle Dr.
The way we are trying to get information out to you has changed a bit too. You will still get notifications via email each week, Sundays I believe. However, all the information you receive is being pulled from our School Web Site that is updated at the very least by 3:00 PM on Fridays. Please refer to the website if you need a refresher on any upcoming events.
Speaking of calendars: Reminder that we have moved our “First Friday Adoration” to Tuesday September 1st this next week due to our Priests being gone with 8th graders in Oklahoma at their retreat. Please keep all of them in your prayers.
Thinking of our pending adoration I end with the following thought and prayer. If we want to hear from God clearly and avoid deception, we've got to make spending regular time with Him and learning His Word a top priority.
"Heavenly Father, I come to You, hungry for Your truth, and ready to soak up every word You’ve written for me. Help me to carve out time to dive deep into Scripture, where Your voice rings clear, cutting through the noise and lies that try to mislead me. Don’t let me wander off, chasing directions that aren’t from You—ground me in Your Word, so I’m standing firm on the solid rock of Your truth. Thank You for guiding me, protecting me, and always speaking life into my heart. Amen."
