Ash Wednesday is February 18 this year. This means we need a very fast turnaround for our parish Lenten Reflection book. It has been wonderful to go through Lent together with daily reflections from parishioners. Each year, we get new individuals adding to our booklet, helping us grow as a community as we share our faith and experiences with each other.
The process is simple. You contact David Saunders, and he will assist you in finding an open date if you want to write a reflection. Once you have your date, read and reflect on it in prayer. Then write your short reflection, around 300 words. Some questions you might ask yourself in prayer could be: How does this reading challenge me to live out my call to be a missionary disciple? How does this reading help me grow closer to Jesus in this season of Lent? How can I live out this reading in my family, parish, or community?
