Sacristans for Mass prepare the sanctuary before Masses and other liturgies, place liturgical objects to be used, and assist the priests and liturgical ministers as needed in preparation for Mass. Some Mass sacristans help with Sunday and weekday Masses, while others help with wedding and funeral Masses and special liturgies such as Holy Hours for First Fridays, Liturgy of the Hours, and Stations of the Cross. Youth Sacristans

Youth Sacristans allows our high school-age young women the opportunity to serve at the Altar. New youth sacristans shadow other youth sacristans to learn the many responsibilities before and after Mass. These young women serve at the Sunday 5:30 pm Mass. Similar to the Mass Captains, this group intends to engage our high school students more intentionally in liturgical formation and the spiritual life.
