The EMHCs assist the priest in giving Holy Communion under the forms of bread and wine at Mass and in taking Communion to the sick and homebound. This ministry is reserved for Catholics who are in full communion with the Catholic Church, have a deep devotion to the Eucharist, maintain a devout prayer life, and strive to pursue virtue and excellence in all aspects of their lives.
